Description
This painting of a European traveler teleported to a conservatory in purple and green with the Victorian architecture rusing behind him is not usual for the figure holding the bag. The idea that is was sunset and the light evening twilight glow figure silhouette in purple dress on the right side of the image means that the traveler was not abiding by the teleportation rules.
A young woman in purple with long black hair is just out of frame here, and a violet-green dress stands in front of a purple wall; there's a window in the background that looks over the city skyline; she has her arms folded across her chest as she stares straight at the viewer; the other figures are mostly abstract shapes, but they're all connected by lines or geometric shapes.
A female figure with short black hair wearing purple is staring at the viewer from inside an ornate purple room filled with plants; a tall window overlooks a cityscape lit up against the night sky. A futuristic looking man in purple is walking through the city while gazing into space; he's carrying a large, metallic case over his shoulder. He wears a silver suit with a gold watch around his wrist. The buildings look like they were made from metal and glass, though it's hard to tell if it's actually real because everything seems so far away. There's a bright blue sky behind him, which gives off a warm glow. His eyes are closed as he walks forward, seemingly oblivious to the world around him.
He looks up at the building with interest. The botanicals and fantastical charm of the Impressionist era coming through the building with focus and ornateness. An older figure in a purple coat and hat is walking on the sidewalk, next to a younger person dressed in the same outfit. It's unclear whether the man is the man's father, but the man is wearing an odd sort of hat, and he looks down at the younger male curiously. He stares straight into the camera, smiling gently. He appears to be a bit eccentric, possibly even crazy. The scene is quite busy with people all around; there's traffic moving past outside on the street as well. The sharp nod hints at recognition, but alignment with the rules of teleportation. This was an unusual experience for the man, who didn't expect to have a strange, inexplicable conversation with another human being after having just been teleported into their city from another one. He felt very confused by this, and it made him feel uncomfortable; perhaps he should not have talked about his life back home. He was used to being alone. The woman had been a nice enough person, he supposed, but she could have left him out of her story about how she met the other members of the group in Europe, since he was only a friend.
But, were they friends. This painting is the only surviving memory of the time traveler. It shows craftsmanship that hadn't been made. They weren't supposed to be bringing anything back with them as they traveled. But, things slipped through. It was even rarer before the times of film that anyone would notice. But, this man was not careful enough, and was captured in the moment before the conservatory. It led to many more people becoming interested in the arts. The artist became a famous painter.
